Handycam - Summer Camp 2021
My team developed a strategy to plant a Sony Handycam in the hands of teenagers at summer camp. They filmed their friends and we got raw footage of what it was like from the students point of view. The project was aimed at Instagram reels but a full length short was also made.
The first day went well but we were still learning who to give the camera to and how to best utilize the look of the camera.
After the second day we felt like we got in a groove, the edits looked better and the students were loving being able to film.
In conclusion, we successfully harnessed the camera to capture a raw look and feel. The students loved filming and overall it was a huge success.
